At least they have the courtesy to parade their corrupt alliances so we can see what we’re up against. [continue reading] {NAME}, [musk] It should come as no surprise to anyone that Elon Musk and Jared Kushner were caught palling around with Saudi oil benefactors at the World Cup. It might come as a surprise if any of us bought into Musk’s pretending to care about free speech. In a week where Musk used his control of Twitter to silence journalists and block competition, it only makes sense that he would break bread with the Saudi prince of moral compromise known as Jared Kushner. Kushner wasted little time before cashing in on his “public service.” Just 6 months after Kushner was booted along with Trump out of the White House, Kushner’s new firm had secured a $2 billion investment from the Public Investment Fund. That’s billion with a “B!” The Public Investment Fund is a fund led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler and a beneficiary of Mr. Kushner’s support when he worked as a White House adviser. When you see someone rubbing elbows with people who rub elbows with Mohammed bin Salman, then you know they don’t have the capacity to care about free and safe speech. It should also be noted that Twitter’s second-largest shareholder is another Saudi prince, so this is far from Musk’s first questionable partnership. At least they have the courtesy to parade their corrupt alliances so we can see what we’re up against. Our entire mailing list of tens of thousands has less combined capital at their disposal than even one of the three men named in this article, and that’s why it is essential we keep active and supporting the organizations and institutions that these men want to destroy. No Dem Left Behind doesn’t have any billionaire donors, we have you, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. When you are a movement of the people, millions can create the same political momentum as a despot’s billions. It is important for us to remember that we are a true grassroots movement that’s up against a goliath of deep dark money, but we can topple this goliath if we stick together and remember that grassroots needs water to grow. It may be cold outside, but the 2024 elections are already heating up. Will you help water the lawn? We see the bought-and-sold competition and know the blank checks they will write in desperate attempt to seize power.
