Please tell me I'm not the only one!?

[This is Richard Ojeda and we're]( Winning America's Heartland Flipping Red Seats Blue! {NAME},  We could really use your help!  You see, when I joined No Dem Left Behind PAC as their Spokesman, I did it because I believed – and still believe! – that rural and working-class Americans AREN’T a lost cause. That with the right message and the right messenger, Democratic candidates and progressive ideas can win in America’s Heartland, and that when they do, rural and working-class Americans win, too.  Like I said, I STILL believe that!  But I’m starting to wonder if I’m the only one.  Here’s the thing: contributions are way down, so much so that I’m starting to seriously worry whether we’re going to make it to the midterms. It’s that bad.  And you know what? I don’t get it. I really don’t. Not with all that’s at stake this year! [picture of Mr. Ojeda] (Folks, we've got to mobilize the rural vote) If we don’t expand our Senate majority by at least two votes this November, you can forget about any of this happening: Saving Roe v. Wade and our right to choose from being stripped away by an out-of-control, radicalized, Trump-stacked Supreme Court.  Passing meaningful action on gun safety reform to keep weapons of war out of the hands of children and the violently unstable.  Stopping GOP-run state legislatures all around the country from rolling back the rights and protections that minorities and LGBTQ+ folks fought so hard for decades to win. Getting rid of the filibuster so we can actually make progress on President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda and all the other issues we care about.  In fact, if we don’t show up in force for this year’s midterms, the very survival of our democracy is at stake – because Trump and the Republicans have already begun enacting their plan to install Trump-loyal supporters of The Big Lie in electoral oversight positions nationwide so they can simply overturn elections when they don’t like the results!  Look, we’ve got to protect and expand our House and Senate majorities at the ballot box this year – no ifs, ands, or buts about it.  But to do that, we’ve got to flip some battleground seats BLUE, and for that to happen, we’ve got to SHOW UP in the rural and working-class communities that were once the backbone of our party, but now feel left behind.  Look, there’s no time like right now to take our message of hope and progress to rural and working-class Americans and change hearts and minds about the Democratic Party.  People are plain wore out from the last few years of pandemic and protests and shortages and inflation and everything else. We all want solutions, and the only folks offering them are Democrats. (There are so many good things at our fingertips - we can't miss this opportunity.) “Build Back Better” would be a BOON for rural and working-class Americans, giving them good, high-paying jobs, cleaner air and water, safer schools, more affordable childcare, expanded access to critical technology, and so much more.  Meanwhile, anybody with any kindness or decency is FED UP with the radical whackjobs in the GQP spreading lies and hate while blocking every piece of legislation meant to help ordinary folks through these trying times.  There is NO TIME LIKE NOW for Democrats to make our case to rural and working-class voters – to sell them on ideas like … - A mandatory living wage - Paid parental leave - Cleaner air and water - Well-paying green union jobs - Public funding for community college and trade school - Expanded access to affordable health care - Common-sense gun safety reforms that respect the 2nd Amendment while keeping guns away from unsupervised kids and would-be criminals - Protection of our fundamental civil rights, including the right to vote, the right to choose, and the right to be who you are and love who you love 🏳️‍🌈… - … and all the other great plans we have to make life better for everyone.
