If there's one truism in politics, it's that everybody hates Ted Cruz. Allred, meanwhile, represents the best America has to offer. He was raised by a single mother public school teacher and went on to join the NFL and later Obama's administration. He flipped the district of an 11-term Republican incumbent to reclaim the House in 2018.  This is a golden opportunity for not only a critical Democratic Senate pick up, but also a moment to remove someone from Congress who denies election results, abandons his constituents in a crisis, and is universally hated by his colleagues.
