I have some bad news... If your entire business model is...Start a blog...get traffic from Google...then make money, you might be in for a rude awakening. With all the industry changes, Google making things more difficult, and AI Search Results (SGE)...among a few other things, I don't think you should start a blog. However, if you can meet certain criteria, then PERHAPS it would be okay for you to start a blog. I just hit publish on a brand new YouTube video that dives into all the [reasons why I don't think you should start a blog right here.](=) =Click to Watch Video One of the reasons I give that would make it okay to start a blog, is if you have a real business model behind the business. Or if you are trying to get alternative types of traffic (outside of Google alone). One interesting example of a business model that doesn't share all the same risks as starting a blog is growing a newsletter through paid traffic. I don't know if you've heard of Scott DeLong before, but he's been EXTREMELY successful in the newsletters space. (Maybe you've heard of his site Viral Nova or others). His model? Get traffic and subscribers from "stupid simple ads" (his words). Capture emails. Email your list and send them to your site where you can make money on display ads, affiliate links, or your own products. Now of course that's just the beginning. If you have an email list you can also get email newsletter sponsors as well. What if you didn't have to worry about Google traffic at all? Want to see Scott's entire business strategy that you can follow? [Check Out Scott DeLong's Newsletter Playbook Right Here]( This is a brand new course that Scott is launching today in conjunction with Jon Dykstra. [Go ahead and get the newsletter playbook here.]( Now... Starting a newsletter from paid ads is just ONE online business model that you could follow. There are hundreds of different ways that you can make money online. Sometimes it can be hard to know which one is the best for you. Sometimes its hard to find a community to chat with and swap ideas with regarding your online business. These are just a few of the reasons that I've decided to start something called, the Niche Pursuits Community...very soon. The Niche Pursuits Community will include small mastermind groups, weekly calls with expert online entrepreneurs, real-time chat with other online business owners, and more. And this week, I'm giving away 20 free spots to help me build the initial core group of the community. Interested? [Read my post on Twitter to get all the details on the Niche Pursuits Community and how you can be considered for a free spot right here.]( I'll share more about the new Niche Pursuits Community in the coming weeks. But if you want a shot at being one of the first 20 members, [be sure to read all the details here.]( Thanks again for reading, Spencer --------------------------------------------------------------- Tools to Help You Grow Your Digital Business --------------------------------------------------------------- Building Smart Internal Links Just Got Easier.
