🤯 Earnings and Traffic For This Niche Site!

So, last month I published a full income report for Own The Yard dot com (Niche Site Project 4 site)...and I thought it was pretty good. The site earned $5,818 in May. But then June happened. And the earnings and traffic were even better than May! 🤯 If you have been following along with Niche Site Project 4, you will know this is a public case study where I've built a site for everyone to follow along. The site continues to grow after a couple years and hopefully you've been able to use it to guide you in your own niche site building process. So, here's what happened in June. The site earns money in 2 ways - Ezoic display ads and Amazon Associates. In June, Ezoic earned a total of $4,506.10 Amazon Associates earned an additional $3,081.70. ​ ​ Total earnings for June 2021 for Own The Yard dot com = $7,686.80! I'm thrilled with the earnings of the site! When you build a site out in the open, it can always be a bit nerve wracking whether its going to be a complete flop or not. Fortunately, it's not a flop! What about traffic? Last month the site got a total of 173,511 Pageviews. ​ ​ About 65% of the traffic came from Google organic search (which is what I've focused on primarily), and 20% of the traffic has come from social media (mostly Pinterest). What's working? My primary process has been to find long tail / low competition keywords and to target those specific keywords with individual articles. The site currently has 633 articles, with 19 articles published in June. I plan to continue publishing anywhere between 5 to 20 articles a month for the foreseeable future. Once I have all the articles, I mainly focus on on-page SEO, with a particular interest in internal linking. ​[I use Link Whisper to make sure]( I have relevant internal links pointing to all of my articles.
