Hey, welcome to email 1 of 11 of the Email Marketing Hacks (EMH) series. So you're interested in making more sales from your email list, right? Good news: You're in the right place. Just a reminder that if you don't have a list yet then this isn't for you just yet as I won't be covering list building, just hit unsubscribe at the bottom of this email. No hard feelings and you can stay subscribed to my general broadcast list of course. :) So back to the Email Marketing Hacks series... Over the past couple years I've been studying and learning from the best email marketers on the planet And not just the obvious ones but guys who play far away from the IM niche who not everyone necessarily knows as they aren't online marketing “gurus”. And putting what they teach into practice. In particular learning from one master who has worked with some of the biggest marketers AND companies on the planet. I'll reveal who at a later time. I've been testing, recording, analyzing and tweaking everything. I've learned a LOT that is NOT common knowledge and not what is advised by many gurus as “best practices”. And it's changed how I do email marketing. So... For the next 11 days I'll send you a value packed email each day. That covers the 5 crucial steps you absolutely must have in place in order to sell more via email. Plus a LOT more tricks that you need to know. It doesn't really matter what you are selling: It can be affiliate products. It can be your own products. It can be services you provide. If you're doing email marketing and want to sell more read all 11 parts of this email series as they are sent to you (remember 1 every day from now) Each email headline will start with EMH (Email Marketing Hacks) so you know it's the next part of your training (as you may be on more than 1 of my lists). Now on with the training... The first essential stage of selling more products to your list happens BEFORE anyone joins your email list. It actually has NOTHING to do with email marketing. As in it's nothing to do with pop ups, landing pages, open and click rates, lead magnets, autoresponders, content upgrades or other stuff you associate with email marketing. But when done correctly it means anyone who DOES sign up to your list is super engaged with you. Trusts you and perceives you as an authority. Can't wait to get emails from you. And is ready to buy almost anything you recommend (assuming you do the second of four parts correctly which I will reveal tomorrow) So what is this mysterious first of 5 stages to successful email marketing? It's simple... It's about providing VALUE upfront. BEFORE you even think about asking anyone to join your list. BUT.. In a very specific way that qualifies and disqualifies people. So that only the absolute best people end up ready to join your mailing list. So let's discuss value first... Value is about giving away USEFUL information that solves some (but not ALL) of your audiences problems before you ask for anything in return...not even an email. Because if you solve ALL their problems upfront then they'll have no reason ever to join your list or buy from you, right? When done correctly this is ALL upfront value with nothing expected in return. And this builds good will with your audience. They start to trust you and like you. And they are now willing to exchange their email address with you. But it's a fine balance to get right. Don't give enough and the potential subscriber is left feeling dissatisfied and doesn't join. Give away TOO much and then there's no reason for them to join. One thing to keep in mind also... Free JUNK is still junk, right? If I dump garbage on your lawn and tell you it's your lucky day because you just got free garbage then I can't imagine you'll be too impressed. Shall I try it? ;-) So don't mistake free for instantly equaling value, it isn't necessarily. Make sure that anything you give away for free is genuinely useful. Here's why it's important to give value, in the correct way, upfront... If you don't do any of this. And demand their email address Or even worse that they make a purchase. Before you've given them anything in return. You're already fighting a losing battle. They feel like you owe THEM something. And no matter how valuable what you give them might be. More often than not, whatever you do and however good it may be, it won't be good enough for them. This is the EXACT opposite of what you want from your email subscribers. You want them to be BEGGING you for more value packed emails. Avoid any of the following: Sending cold traffic direct to a squeeze / email opt in page before seeing your content. Bombarding them with a pop up the second they land on your page. Bribing them with a lead magnet before they've seen any other content. Because you'll end up with people on your email list who you haven't given any value to up front. So they don't have any good will towards you. They don't necessarily trust you or perceive you as an authority . In most cases they just handed over their email to get a freebie. And aren't at all interested in your emails or what you have to say. And yes I know... I was guilty of all of this for far too long. I had pop ups flying about everywhere on NicheHacks, bombarding you constantly, at every second But you may have noticed for the past couple months there hasn't been any (there's a good reason for that which will be revealed later...) But the truth is whilst it worked for a while. And I continue to make good income from the NicheHacks list. This method of list building is not nearly as effective as it once was. And because I was so focused on getting an email subscriber by any means... I've ended up with a list of over 20,000 people but about 90% of them aren't very active, don't open emails and never buy anything. On a side note...thanks for NOT being one of those people, you're awesome. :) So anyway the point is... I've learned the hard way through continuous testing and learning from some of the great email marketers that.. You do NOT want anyone on your list who you haven't well warmed up first through providing value. Because they cost you money, drive down your open and click rates, affect your email deliver ability score, and mark your emails as spam. And they certainly don't buy anything from you. And if you think you'll warm then up AFTER they've joined through your awesome value based emails... ...THINK AGAIN! Trying to warm them up AFTERWARDS is like raising the dead And yes we're going to talk about zombies, in a completely different way, in a couple of days time, lol. But I digress... When you try to warm them up AFTERWARDS there's a big problem. You're just that annoying marketer who's spamming their email box that they can't remember. Even the ones who do remember you are thinking... “Jeez all I asked for was the free report on the website I didn't agree to get emails with promotions in them too” Worthless to you. So just remember... Value upfront before asking for an email. And you'll get a much more engaged audience and make much more sales. But there's still one thing left to talk about isn't there? What VALUE actually looks like and how you provide it CORRECTLY in order to increase sales massively. I am going to reveal what VALUE looks like. How you provide it CORRECTLY without giving too much away (so that they still need to join your email list) How to provide it in a way which qualifies only the correct people into joining your list and eliminates the ones who aren't a good fit. And how to make more sales from providing it. BTW it's probably NONE of what you're thinking (I was surprised when I discovered out these answers too) But I'm not going to reveal it right now as this email is already really long (over 1,000 words, phew!) So it's coming in a few days time and will be worth the wait I promise. In the meantime however... Tomorrow you'll receive email 2 of 11 of the Email Marketing Hacks (EMH) series. Where you'll learn ANOTHER little known 'secret' that you must do BEFORE you even think about sending any emails Assuming you want to make MORE sales when you finally do send one. And I'm about 99% confident that it's got NOTHING to do with anything you're thinking about right now. As it actually has very little to do with email marketing in it's self again. But when implemented, and it doesn't take long to do so, your email marketing benefits hugely from it. So keep your eyes peeled for tomorrows email. Same time and same place, OK? See you then, Stuart You are receiving this email because you joined the mailing list at and asked to be notified of any updates. 83 Ducie Street Manchester Greater Manchester Manchester, M1 2JQ UNITED KINGDOM [Unsubscribe]( | [Change Subscriber Options](

Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
