Plus, Snoop Dogg fools his fans with latest marketing campaign [View this email in your browser]( This year’s most popular Thanksgiving recipes We thought we’d be doing you a disservice if we didn’t make today’s newsletter about food, Thanksgiving food that is. Since the start of November, Thanksgiving recipes and food content have been gaining traction, with nearly 17k articles published, and 282k engagements to those articles. If you’re in need of some inspiration for tomorrow’s festivities, or even if you don’t celebrate the US holiday and are curious about the unique dishes, we’ve got you covered. First, with recipes. Yes, we did say food. But we can’t ignore the fact that the most engaged recipe about Thanksgiving overall was actually one for punch. Whether cocktail or mocktail, this concoction clearly resonated online, earning over 175k engagements, and was one of only two recipes to see more than 100k. A recipe for roasted turkey and sweet potato casserole also made the top five, and a focus on healthier Thanksgiving options was also apparent, with keto and vegan recipes getting notable attention. Across social media, there was a bit more innovation. A recipe for [waffles made from stuffing]( made a splash on Instagram, giving inspiration to those looking for ways to make leftovers useful. The post from @thefeedfeed received more than 515k engagements. A unique dessert grabbed attention on TikTok, with an [apple dumpling recipe]( that features Mountain Dew earning more than 309k engagements. Of course, the classics are always popular, with a [mac & cheese recipe]( seeing 1.26 million engagements, and a [roasted potato recipe]( earned a whopping 2.2 million engagements, both on TikTok. Snoop Dogg fools his fans, but just for a second Last week Snoop Dogg announced on his Instagram that he was [giving up smoke]( and naturally, fans quickly assumed he was referring to marijuana, as the rapper is famous for his use of the substance and contribution to the cannabis community. But four days later everyone found out it was just one big marketing ploy for Solo Stove, a smokeless fire pit and oven company. The original post, shared on Nov 16th, received over 4.87 million engagements, and while fans were initially confused, there were many skeptics among them. Over the next four days Snoop Dogg continued to use Instagram as usual, and even played up the trick by sharing [photos of himself]( experiencing a “natural high.” The partnership was revealed on Nov 20th, and shows the rapper roasting marshmallows by the smokeless fire while laughing cheekily, as he knows he just pulled off a successful marketing scheme. The Instagram post earned over 2.6 million engagements.
