[Newgrounds.com]( Greetings, {NAME}! [Ongoing Layout Updates & Pico Day!]( Posted by [TomFulp]() This Saturday is [Pico Day]( a celebration of all things NG! Expect some cool animation, games, art and music. [@Ephyse]( made our Pico Day skin this year and we released it early with recent layout updates! This skin is the beginning of a new way of doing NG site skins; it goes behind the content pods, which are no longer contained in a grey box. What do you think? The black bars down the sides and the gradient fade at the bottom of the skin are now done in HTML, so they aren't baked into the image. Our goal is to commission art that works as both a site skin and desktop wallpaper for download. It might be a little weird because artists will have to focus items in our side columns but we're hoping for cool results. More fine-tuning is in the works so expect things to keep getting prettier (hopefully you feel that way). Two weeks ago we launched new user pages and most of the bugs / quirks should now be fixed. For people with a lot of pending friend requests at the top of their feed - we will be addressing that! Also something just broke the "Gear" icons from store purchases on stat pages. Whoops. There was an ongoing issue where some people who should have been in the [Artist News]( list were showing up in the [General News]( list. This is fixed as of today so future posts should go to the correct place. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the DBZ collab! [Dragonball Z Collab]( [Dragonball Z Collab]( (4.47 / 5.00, 2,070 votes and 184,821 views) I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this collab, it brought back all the excitement of the classic NG collabs and the quality of the entries was above and beyond. We've got an amazing generation of talent here on NG, I really hope people are exploring everything on the front page right now because it's ACE. In other news, the [Art Inspired Music Contest]( has started! It's organized by [@RealFaction]( and is a great way to celebrate both the music and art scenes here on NG. Lots of good stuff is on the way so stick around, click the "follow" button on lots of artists and consider [becoming a supporter.]( Your support makes all this possible and NG is gonna keep working to be the best place with the best people on the web. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
