AUGUST 2, 2022 Join the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen at the 89th Annual Craftsmen’s Fair Sponsored by: [League of NH Craftsmen]( The League of NH Craftsmen returns to the Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, NH August 6-14, 2022, for the 89th Annual Craftsmen’s Fair! We look forward to welcoming back old friends as well as those who are new to the Fair. All are welcome to join us for this iconic arts experience in a beautiful New England location. Guests can shop for fine craft at nearly 200 booths and meet the artists who bring these materials to life. There is a range of craft in all media areas, and in all price points, from beautiful functional and decorative pieces for the home, to stunning items to wear that show off your style. Our juried members and invited guest artists have been hard at work creating inspired new craft, so you are sure to find something you have never seen before. Everyone is encouraged to pick up a Fair Program as they enter, so that they may easily locate their favorite craftsmen. [League of NH Craftsmen's Fair]Fairgoers interact with craftsman Julia Brandis Courtesy of League of NH Craftsmen Visitors to the Art, Craft & Design and Sculpture Garden Exhibitions will discover numerous ways to add beautiful art and craft into their wardrobes, homes and landscapes. These curated exhibitions serve as a showcase for exceptional new craft in a wide range of media areas. Nearly 100 of our talented members are participating in the exhibitions this year. Before the Fair begins, special awards of excellence will be presented to exhibition participants in over twenty categories, so we encourage everyone to visit and see the winning items! In the centrally located Art, Craft & Design tent, guests will find handcrafted furniture, beautiful jewelry, woven tapestries, sparkling glass, decorative and functional pottery, stunning prints and so much more. The Sculpture Garden includes work in metal and ceramic, set against beautiful living flowers and plants. [LEARN MORE]( SPONSORED Every day at the Fair guests can experience ongoing demonstrations which show the many ways that raw materials are transformed into beautiful, finished pieces. These demonstrations include blacksmithing, basketmaking and the creation of clay vessels in a variety of sizes. Visitors may also sign up to create their own embellished clay tile in our clay workshop tent, to experience the making of craft in a hands-on way. Young folks will enjoy visiting our Kids Create tent – and will make their own project to take home! A Scavenger Hunt will invite children to explore all areas and aspects of the Fair, and those who complete it will be rewarded with a handcrafted treasure from a League craftsman. Stop in at ‘The Shop at the Fair’, a cooperative sales area with the work of many members who may not have booths at the Fair. You are sure to find many wonderful options to give as gifts or keep for yourself! Make a full day of your visit and stay for lunch. Specialty food vendors will offer items such as wood fired pizza, smoothies, Thai cuisine, and Dole Whip. Dining areas at the Mount Sunapee Resort Lodges offer healthy options and even adult beverages, with places to sit and take in views of the entire Fair! A visit to the Fair should include a stop in the Fair Raffle area behind the Information Tent, with a wonderful array of work donated by juried members. Funds raised from this effort will assist in the production of the Fair in 2023. Take a chance to win a beautiful piece of art! For over 90 years, the non-profit League has promoted fine craft, supported craftsmen, and educated and enriched New Hampshire’s communities. The Annual Craftsmen’s Fair is both the League’s signature event, and biggest fundraiser for the organization and its over 650 juried members. Your Fair ticket not only helps us to continue this iconic event, but also to provide professional development opportunities for our members, and mentorship and outreach programs. Our network of affiliated Fine Craft Galleries and other special exhibitions and events allow juried members to connect with the public and generate income to sustain their small businesses year-round. There is ample free parking, and guests 12 and under receive free admission. Tickets are available in advance online for the fastest processing through the gates (valid for any one day of the event, there is a small convenience and processing fee for online and at the gate credit card purchases). Tickets are available at the gate each day. Supporting and juried members receive a ticket benefit and may redeem these tickets online or give their name at the gates.
