[Discover Central MA logo] MAY 14, 2022 Worcester’s Tercentennial Weekend Celebration Yearlong observances and signature celebrations hit a peak at Worcester’s Tercentennial Weekend June 10 through June 12. Here’s what to anticipate at the Tercentennial celebration of the Heart of the Commonwealth. Courtesy of Discover Central MA Friday, June 10, 6pm - 10pm: Kick-Off in the Canal District Head to the Canal District for a Stroll through local shops and the Worcester Public Market. You’ll find special deals and giveaways across the whole neighborhood! Afterwards, head to Polar Park for fireworks and a special performance featuring Ricky Duran, runner-up of season 17 of "The Voice". Admission to the Polar Park Fireworks and Ricky Duran performance requires free tickets, available through the WooSox Ticket Office. Visit in-person or call (508) 500-8888 to reserve your tickets during Ticket Office hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm, and on game days from 9am until the end of the game. Saturday, June 11, 9am: Tercentennial 5K Walk or run this 5K course through Downtown Worcester and the Canal District. More information can be found on the [event page](. Saturday, June 11, 11am: Tercentennial Parade After the 5K, Worcester welcomes the Tercentennial Parade, an event that promises animated exuberance for parade participants and attendees alike. Local names will grace the parade route to offer their unique local flair. From Circus Steph to Miss Massachusetts, so many friendly faces will be in attendance. Cultural groups will offer unique displays of identity through the community, with the likes of [Guardians of Traditions]( [Worcester Caribbean American Carnival Association]( [Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts]( and [Shrewsbury Street Italian Heritage Parade](.
