Weekend Edition: An ebike for every occasion

The popularity of pedal power has surged during the coronavirus pandemic and when it comes to traveling on two wheels, ebikes are now a super practical option. There's a huge variety of electric bikes hitting the market, with motorcycle manufacturers joining start-ups and regular bicycle companies to get a slice of the action. With that in mind, we've devoted this weekend's newsletter to a selection of the most interesting ebikes we've seen so far in 2020. Enjoy! With dual suspension, a very big battery and a powerful Bafang Ultra mid-drive motor, the Rockstar still manages to come in at US$2,499. [Read more]( [Bicycles]( [Dutch brothers ride out "perfect urban e-bike"]( [The Delta S is Mokumono's first ebike]( We last caught up with twins Bob and Tom Schiller of Mokumono Cycles in the middle of 2018, when they announced the Delta commuter bike featuring a laser-welded frame. Now the company is readying its first e-bike for shipping in July – the Delta S. [Read more]( [Bicycles]( [Forestal hits the trails with Siryon electric mountain bike]( [The Siryon launch edition is up for pre-order, and is expected to ship in October]( The Forestal Technology Centre out of Andorra has detailed a carbon-framed ebike designed for enduro riding. The Siryon Polar Lights edition is limited to just 999 units and said to be the "natural evolution of modern mountain biking." That's starting to change, though, as a number of lighter "stealth" ebikes have hit the market. One of the latest is the catchily-named Babymaker.
