Organic Social Media: - U.S. President Joe Biden signed the proposed TikTok sell-off bill into law, giving the social platform 270 days to find a U.S.-based owner or be banned in the nation. - Video continues to drive massive engagement. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Reels now make up 50% of the time users spend on Instagram. Meanwhile, TikTok started testing 60-minute videos with limited users in select markets. Cross-Channel Marketing: - Google now offers generative image tools in Demand Gen campaigns to create high-quality image assets by providing text prompts. - Google postponed third-party cookie deprecation in Chrome to 2025 due to regulatory scrutiny from the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), industry stakeholders, obstacles with Google’s Privacy Sandbox, and the need for further testing.
