Dear {NAME}, You're invited to join our webinar entitled: RT-qPCR and Colorimetric LAMP Approaches to SARS-CoV-2 Viral Detection In this webinar, we will provide an overview of several NEB products for DNA amplification, and discuss how they can be used to support COVID-19 diagnostic efforts. We will focus on products that are currently being used by customers, including our Luna®RT-qPCR kits and LAMP master mixes. In addition to sharing some our own efforts to further research in this area, we will be highlighting the use of these products and technologies by discussing selected preprints and other publicly available information. Lastly, we will introduce NEB’s new [RUO kit]( for the rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 via colorimetric LAMP. The kit includes primer sets to two regions of the virus (N and E genes) and to an internal control (rActin) as well as a positive control target (N-gene). Results from purified nucleic acid samples can typically be observed in 30 minutes after a 65°C incubation. Colorimetric LAMP utilizes a simple pink or yellow visual readout of viral detection, making it a promising diagnostic approach. Please join us after the webinar for an opportunity to engage in discussion and ask questions of the NEB experts. Date: Thursday, August 6th Time: 2:00 PM EST Speaker: Rachel Carver-Brown, Technical Support Scientist Rachel Carver-Brown is the Technical Support Scientist responsible for the Amplification Product Portfolio at New England Biolabs. Prior to NEB she worked in assay development in different avenues, including multiplex qPCR diagnostics for sepsis pathogens as well as protein assay development for ocular gene therapy products. She engaged in technical support while working for Sage Science, a company that enables automated DNA extraction, and was hooked on the problem solving aspect of that role from that point forward.
