You’ll want to hear this. [View as Webpage]( [National Education Association]( [EdAction]( {NAME}, Most of us believe that the Supreme Court should rule with “equal justice under law.” But wealthy businessmen worked for years to rig the court. They got a supermajority confirmed and then—for years—gave conservative justices undisclosed lavish gifts and expensive trips to influence their worldview. I recently joined NEA’s School Me podcast to talk about the Supreme Court, its blockbuster decisions this year, and what we can do about them. Give it a listen. [On Spotify ➤]( [On Apple iOs ➤]( [On Google Play ➤]( We break down the recent decisions on affirmative action, LGBTQ+ discrimination, and student loan relief. Plus, we discuss other cases on NEA’s radar that affect educators, students, and public schools. From the safety of the air we breathe, to equal access to education for all, U.S. Supreme Court decisions play an important part in shaping our lives and the lives of our students. It may take some time, but I have faith that if we work together, we can once again rebalance the courts so that “equal justice under law” is more than a platitude, but the North Star of every decision.
