This decision shows a disappointing disregard for the millions of Americans burdened by student loans and their hopes for a brighter future. The good news: We are still able to stop this bill in the Senate. This is our chance to protect the student debt relief Americans deserve. We’re trying to stop the Congressional Review Act resolution (H.J.Res.45/S.J.Res.22) on student debt because it will: - Block President Biden’s plan to cancel student debt for 43 million Americans. - Reinstate the cancelled debt of nearly 157,000 loans forgiven through Public Service Loan Forgiveness. - Unwind the payment pause, forcing borrowers to back pay interest that has been on hold due to the pandemic.
