Add your name to our list of demands [View as Webpage]( [National Education Association]( [EdJustice]( {NAME}, We want all our schools to have the freedom to meet every child’s needs—no matter their race, background, sexual orientation, or gender identity—with well-trained and supported teachers and an age-appropriate curriculum that helps them reckon with the past and shape our future. But in recent years, an emboldened and well-resourced faction has targeted our students’ freedom to learn, attempting to censor librarians, surveil teachers, cancel classes, and ban books that address structural inequality in our country. That’s why NEA has joined the Freedom to Learn Network, a coalition of national civil rights and racial justice organizations committed to protecting students' rights to honesty in education. Today, we unite for a National Day of Action, and [NEA has created a list of demands and solutions to defend their freedom to learn—but we need your support](. Join us as we demand that: - Every student be provided opportunities to cultivate creativity and critical thinking; - Our schools be places where every student has the freedom to be themselves, belong, and thrive; - Educators across race, place and genders are respected, reflected, and protected; and - Our freedoms to learn, explore, innovate, and grow are protected. [Read our demands and add your name.]( Together we are steadfast in the commitment to foster an inclusive, culturally responsive public education where every student and educator—across race, place, and abilities—is treated with dignity and respect, no exceptions. Thank you for taking action with us.
