Email your senators to support the Respect for Marriage Act [View as Webpage]( [National Education Association]( [EdJustice]( {NAME}, No matter who we are, what we look like, or who we love, we know our communities are stronger when we can be our authentic selves. That means having the freedom to decide what happens in our own lives–including how and when to grow our families and who we choose to marry–regardless of our race, sex, gender, or class. But some decision makers in Congress and in the courts want to restrict the fundamental freedom of same-sex and interracial couples to marry. This right is the foundation upon which millions of Americans have built their families and communities. [Email your senators and tell them to support the Respect for Marriage Act.]( The Respect for Marriage Act was written explicitly to ensure that this is a country where liberty and justice is for all, where we have the freedom to marry and build a life with the person we love, knowing that the government recognizes and respects us. Together, we will go all in to establish more legal protections for marriage equality so that we can make this a place where we are all free to thrive and support each other–no exceptions.
