Top tips on applying To help you complete your application, we have compiled some tips on some of the things to think about when applying: - Be open about the key challenges or uncertainties you face and how you are trying to address them. - Try to give the answer at the start of your response and use the words in the question i.e. ‘The unmet need that we are addressing is X’. Then go on to provide further details. - Avoid qualitative statements. Instead provide quantitative information where available and why it matters i.e. ‘our diagnostic has a 4% false positive rate which is 28% better than the gold standard’. - Detail what external validation you have obtained to support your assertions. Have you spoken to potential users, beneficiaries, development partners, regulators, financiers etc, to validate the merits of your approach? - Read the question again once you have answered, to ensure that you have addressed all elements of the question. If you do not address all of the aspects of each question, you will lose marks. - Ask someone to read a draft of your application to give feedback and a fresh perspective. Winner’s prize package*: The winner package includes a cash prize of €30,000 and the opportunity to pitch in the final slam at the [2023 Future Insight™ Days](.
