[ServeDC, Capital Area Food Bank, and 911Day.org]( ServeDC and Capital Area Food Bank organized a meal pack event in Washington, D.C. AmeriCorps CEO Michael D. Smith served with two NCCC FEMA Corps teams, Deputy Secretary of the U.S Department of Labor Julie Su, Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration Robin Carnahan, Senior Deputy Chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities Ted Mitchell, ServeDC Executive Director Alexis Squire, Bipartisan Policy Center President Jason Grumet, and Congressman Mike Waltz. [Carry the Load]( Americans from every corner of our nation can put aside differences and help one another. Day of Service cleanups happened across 63 national cemeteries. AmeriCorps leaders joined to clean headstones at Alexandria National Cemetery. [9-11]
