NAF took me seriously, so others did, too. ? Friend, My name is Shawniquica Henry, Senior Manager

NAF took me seriously, so others did, too.   Friend, My name is Shawniquica Henry, Senior Manager of Digital Marketing at NAF, Academy of Finance 2007, and I am proof of the power of NAF. NAF helped me access a solid foundation for me to become successful. Now, it’s full circle, I get to support students as they become future ready and invite you to join me in this life-changing work. [Make your year-end, tax-deductible gift today, while a generous group of donors will MATCH it, dollar for dollar up to $35,000. Your support will help more students get a solid foundation to prepare for their career, college and, really, their version of success.]( [Double Your Impact]( Before joining a NAF academy, I didn’t really know what I wanted to be. My parents hinted at what their dreams were for me, like becoming a pediatrician (not for me), but I never really knew what I wanted to be that would set me up for a stable or successful future. I just knew I was a good writer. Because of NAF, at 16 I landed a paid internship at KPMG, and that opportunity led to even more opportunities. With the money I earned from my internship, and help from my dad and stepmom, I applied to colleges and was able to send some money back to Guyana to support my mom and grandma. At that internship, I met my best friend, who helped me stay on track through college, and, 17 years later, he remains a valued part of my network. It was through a connection I made through him that I saw NAF was hiring! [With your help, NAF can provide mentors, internships and professional development opportunities that can open the right doors for more students. Your generosity, matched today, can have lifelong impacts for a student — it did for me. Make a gift now.]( By joining a NAF academy, I got a leg up on my career journey. From early on, and ahead of my close high school friends, I had professional work experience, a resume, professional references and speaking engagements all before graduating. These experiences definitely opened doors for me — from getting into Baruch College (now a top college in New York) to attaining an internship at amNewYork, then Manhattan's largest circulating newspaper.  And that's all because someone — NAF really — took me seriously, and then others trusted that they could take me seriously, too. I want that for other students, and I think you do, too.  [Double your impact and make that difference for more students in 2024 with a gift today.]( Sincerely, Shawniquica Henry Academy of Finance, Class of 2007 Senior Manager, Digital Marketing | NAF   [Facebook](  [Twitter](  [Instagram](  [Linkedin](  [Youtube](     [Manage Your Subscriptions](   [View as Webpage]( COPYRIGHT © 2023.
