It’s National Internship Awareness Month... ? Greetings! It?s National Internship Awareness

It’s National Internship Awareness Month...   Greetings! It’s National Internship Awareness Month, and we are thrilled celebrate NAF students engaging in internships.  Ask current high school students’ parents about what internships were like when they completed them, and you’ll likely hear about routine tasks like making copies and getting coffee for their supervisors. Internships have evolved substantially since then, as has the range of career preparation activities equivalent to internships. NAF students are solving real-world and business problems while gaining the skills and connections to take them far in the future.  At NAF, we are committed to nurturing the potential of today's youth by providing them with hands-on experiences that prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. Our internship partnerships are a testament to this commitment, offering high school students the chance to delve into meaningful projects that impact their communities and support their exploration of potential careers. Here are a few examples of how internships are impactful for today’s students:  Students at Clarence Central High School in New York worked with employees from the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs to create recruiting plans for their talent pipeline that would appeal to younger audiences. Lee County High School, Academy of Engineering in Sanford, NC – students completed apprenticeships with Caterpillar and Sanford Contractors — learning about the engineering design model and how it works in different job experiences.    [Read more about the importance of internships for high school students]( Now, more than ever, we need your support to continue offering these transformative opportunities to students across the country. Your generous donation can make a significant difference in shaping the future leaders of our communities.
