--------------------------------------------------------------- As we grow older, the changes that take place on a daily basis are subtle. However, over longer periods of time, those minor wrinkles and graying hair become much more noticeable. To show these effects of time and aging on people, London-based photographer Ana Oliveira developed these two projects entitled Identidades (Identities) and Identidades II (Identities II). Oliveira had her subject provide portraits of themselves from the past and then recreated modern-day shots to mimic the exact set-ups, poses, and outfits. For some people, the time difference between the first and second photographs spans up to 60 years. The final results are a pairing of two photographs, a visual reminder of the progressions of life and aging. Want a daily digest email featuring our latest articles? Motherhood, in particular, changes a woman in profound ways—not just physically, but emotionally, too. Photographer and mother Vaida Markeviciute-Razmislavice noticed her own transformation before childbirth and after her son was born. She explores the idea on a larger scale through her project Becoming Mother, in which she documented 33 women at these two critical times in their lives. Being a My Modern Met member has its perks. His aim is to show the beauty and diversity in this rarest of hair colors. Just 2% of the population can claim this fiery hair color, which is caused by both parents having the recessive MC1R gene. Even with both parents carrying the gene, their offspring only have a 25% chance of being born with red hair. [Photographer Travels Around the World to Capture the Unique Beauty of Red Hair](=) [Redhead](=) [Read on My Modern Met](=) Do you find inspiration in stories and artists like these?
