Harmonique Display is more calligraphic in its structure – as if drawn by a wide-nibbed pen. This style is accentuated by aggressively barbed serifs and chiseled arcs in its counters and bowls. Practical features include 48 ligatures that will enhance titling possibilities with their all-capital pairings – these are accessed by turning on Discretionary Ligatures and then selecting either Stylistic Set 1 or 2. Paulo Goode - I’m a type designer with a long history of technical illustration, graphic design, and website design & development behind me. My type design career began in 1998, although at the time I didn’t realize that was the case. I was designing a corporate identity and my chosen proposal featured a Trajan-esque typeface which I had hand drawn. For many years after I had a nagging thought that “there’s something about that type”. So, at the end of 2014, I found the inspiration to dig the original files out and create a complete font. The Lust Collection is the culmination of 5 years of exploration and development, and I am very excited to share it with everyone. When the original Lust was first conceived in 2010 and released a year and half later, I had planned for a Script and a Sans to accompany it. The Script was released about a year later, but I paused the Sans. The primary reason was the amount of feedback and requests I was receiving for alternate versions, expansions, and ‘hey, have you considered making?’ and so on. I listen to my customers and what they are needing. Like Optima and other earlier high-contrast sans, they are difficult to deliver responsibly without suffering from ill-conceived excess or timidity. The new Lust Collection aggregates all of that past customer feedback and distills it into 6 separate families, each adhering to the original Lust precept of exercises in indulgence and each based in large part on the original 2010 exemplars produced for Lust.
