About the Designers. [About the Designers.]( Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini bought his first typeface, a Letraset dry transfer sheet, when he was nine years old. He has been playing with letters ever since, as a type designer, visual arts teacher and art director for print, digital and video. Cosimo has designed over fifty typeface families for Zetafonts foundry. His typefaces include the award-winning designs of [Cocogoose](, [Blacker](, [Monterchi]( and [Stinger](. He lives in Florence with his wife, a cat named Bodoni and too many books. Francesco Canovaro found, in visual design and typography, the natural evolution of his studies in painting and computer programming. With Debora Manetti and Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini he founded the transmedia branding agency Kmzero in addition to Zetafonts – where he has designed over forty typeface families and countless custom fonts. His typefaces include [Aquawax](, the award-winning [Heading](, [Blacker]( and [Kitsch]( designs. He lives in Florence with his wife Debora and two children – whose names end with consonants. Debora Manetti followed in the artistic footsteps of her father, a painter and polymath. Inheriting his love of calligraphy and typography, she has a passion that fuels her career as an art director, visual designer and brand strategist. Debora loves to design typefaces inspired by vernacular typography and has designed custom handwriting fonts for award-winning branding projects. Together with Francesco Canovaro and Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, she co-founded Kmzero and Ligature, a company focused on the culture of type design. Andrea Tartarelli studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara and worked as a sculptor until he discovered graphic design and typography. Since then, he has dedicated himself to the creation of typefaces. He studied typography at the Plantin Institute in Antwerp, and teaches type design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Florence. Mario De Libero was born in Livorno, on the coast of Tuscany. During his studies in visual communication at Istituto Europeo di Design, he fell in love with typography and soon joined Zetafonts as lead designer on the “Italian Type” label. Mario sees every letter as a musical instrument that does its best when playing well with the others in harmony. He’s focused lately on historical re-designs and is responsible for the revival typeface [Cairoli](. Maria Chiara Fantini is a type designer and lettering artist based in Florence. She was drawn to type design through her interest in calligraphy and has a particular passion for scripts. She is particularly fascinated with the study of historical typefaces, specimens and manuscripts. Maria Chiara has worked as a junior type designer on many projects for Zetafonts including the [Monterchi]( and [Stinger]( designs. Sofia Bandini has been surrounded by art from birth, and grew-up as a curious and careful observer. After studies at Istituto Europeo di Design, she joined Zetafonts where she works as a graphic, visual and type designer, specializing in non-Latin scripts.
