Japan holds a special place in my heart when it comes to beautiful makeup. Don’t get me wrong I love the whimsical charm of brands from Korea like Etude House and Tony Moly but brands from Japan have a certain timeless elegance. Spring is normally a rather popular time for makeup releases in Japan. Typically January marks a time for skincare renewal here in the US but Japan is typically cocking up different color collections to launch and for me it’s one of their biggest seasons for makeup aside from Fall. There are quite a few beautiful things that launched or about to launch in Japan for Spring and Summer that are currently on my to buy list. Here are a few I have my eye on...[Read More]( [It’s Spring We Need Etude House’s Cherry Blossom Play Color Eyes]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 03:04 PM Last Spring we got our hands on the [Etude House Juice Bar Play Color Eyes]( and [Etude House In the Cafe Play Color Palette]( This Spring, Etude House gifts us with yet another delightful Play Color Eyes Eyeshadow Palette inspired by cherry blossoms! This delightful palette contains 10 delightful rose, berry, and red shades in both matte and shimmer formula combined with hints of nude, natural colors! Four of the shades in the palette are new where as others are repromoted colors from past Play Color Eyes but I still love having the colors all in one spot! Do need! Get yours at [ebay.com]( or...[Read More]( [Here’s What’s Inside My April FaceTory Box]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 02:30 PM If you’ve been following along the last few months you know I subscribed to Facetory Sheet Mask Subscription Box a few months ago. This a once a month box that delivers 4 to 7 Asian Sheet Masks to your door. When I started the service it was a super deal at $14.95 with Free Shipping for Free Masks. They actually recently started charging shipping and also, raised the box price to $15.95. It’s still quite an inexpensive way to try a variety of sheet masks in my opinion So, even though they started charging $3.95 shipping, I stuck with the service. Here’s what’s inside my April Facetory Box if you’re interested This month’s box was pretty interesting. I’m always amazed at how many unique masks these boxes include. I’m an avid facial sheet mask user and truly feel like I’ve tried ALL of them! From Japan to Taiwan, Korea, and China, I’ve tried many, many different brands and formulas. But Facetory has still managed to introduce me to a variety of masks I’ve never even heard of! This month...[Read More]( [We All Need This L’Oreal Infallible Paints Lip Kit]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 02:05 PM So, I’m hoping for some new shades of [L’Oreal Infallible Paints Lip Paints]( for Summer 2017 but until then I’ll settle for this L’Oreal Infallible Paints Lip Kit ($24.99) available exclusively at Ulta and [Ulta.com.]( In a sea of long-wearing matte lip colors, L’Oreal’s Lip Paint formula was such a refreshing change. These are so delightfully creamy, lightly hydrating, super pigmented, and they wear like a champ without sucking every bit of moisture from my lips! This set includes three full-size Paints in: - DIY Red - Fearless Fuchsia - Spicy Blush Buying the set saves you $5 bucks as each individual shade is typically $10 each! Get it now at [Ulta.com.Read More]( [Dior Addict Lip Tattoo Long-Wearing Color Tint for Summer 2017]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 01:48 PM [Long-wearing lip tattoos]( are totally a thing in Korean and this Summer we’ll see some of that stateside starting with [Dior Addict Lip Tattoo Long-Wearing Color Tint.]( Dior Addict Lip Tattoo Long-Wearing Color Tint ($30) are available in four shade selections and a heck a lot easier to apply and wear compared to traditional Asian lip tattoos! No peeling required! These are simply a long wearing lip stain that apparently have a luminous finish!? Hmm! With a weightless texture they conform and fuses to lips like a tattoo! The water-balanced emulsion isn’t drying and sets within seconds of application. Apply, allow to set, and enjoy long-wearing all day color! Shades include: - Natural Rosewood - Natural Cherry - Natural Berry - Natural Pink Pretty nifty right? I’m curious about the formula but for they seem to be more of a long-wearing...[Read More]( [Speaking of Intimation What Do You Think of These Flower Pots Blush]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 01:20 PM Flower Pots Powder Blush ($10) launched earlier this Spring in five shades. These cute little pots may give you a little deja vu considering they look exactly like [Milani Rose Powder Blush.]( These little blushes come up a rather interesting time as were just speaking about how [imitation may or may not be the best form of flattery in the makeup world!]( I picked up two of these a few days ago and they seem a bit smaller in size compared to Milani’s and the bloom design isn’t as strong etched. The blushes have a satiny finish yet they promise a flush of radiant color. Honestly, they have a flat finish in the package so, I’m doubting I’ll get any radiance from them. I’m eager to try though and see how I feel about them! Can’t judge by looking at them right? I’ve had a pretty good...[Read More]( [It’s Summer, I Think I Need a Star Trek Bathing Suit]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 12:53 PM It’s almost Summer! Bikini and bathing suit weather is upon us. Geeks swim too, which means I need a Star Trek Bathing Suit ASAP. Dude, [thinkgeek.com]( just launched an entire array of Star Trek Bathing Suits and my Trekkie good nature freaked the eff out. P.S. They have Next Generation Bathing Suits as well! Because you know, that Wesley Crusher crush you’ve been nursing all these years will finally come to fruition if you struck around in a maroon one piece, take a selfie, and tag Wil Wheaton or better still have a [Korean couple moment]( and be all matchy match with Wesley. Remember when Wil was cute and [bed head and beards]( wasn’t part of his daily routine? Sorry, it’s not makeup but...[Read More]( [Shop the Sale During the Sale at Sephora]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 11:18 AM 15% off at [Sephora.com]( for Rouge Members using promo code ROUGESPRING and VIBs with code VIBSPRING is in effect but don’t forget to shop the sale during the sale. Sephora has updated their sale page to include the Clinique Crayola deal I posted about last night that appeared on Nordstrom’s website. But with Sephora’s 15% off sale you can take an extra percentage off all sale items. Shop the sale section now at...[Read More]( [Do You Save Your Ulta Points Or Do You Spend Them Right Away?]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 11:03 AM I’m really diligent about my savings. I own my houses, no mortgage. I have no dept because credit cards scare me. And if I do use my credit cards I’ll pay the bill the very next month in full. I am leasing my cars because I like to change them every two to three years and I have a rather huge health insurance bill that feels like I’m burning money because I never use it since I’m healthy (thank god! but it still feels like throwing money into a pit of fire since it costs a ton and the coverage seems to suck hard! The joys of being self employed and having to rely on yourself for your own benefits and retirement). I have separate checking accounts that I use for pleasure and life expenses. I like to see where my money is going and how I’m spending it so I keep things separate. Why am I telling you this? Because I have a hard time saving my Ulta Rewards! Do You Save Your Ulta Points Or Do You Spend Them Right Away?! Can I just tell you, I have some sort of weird problem racking up points...[Read More]( [Origins Releases Flower Fusion Facial Sheet Masks]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 10:41 AM Origins has a new collection of [Flower Fusion Facial Sheet Masks]( that look rather intriguing although I find myself questioning the seven dollar each price tag. Ouch! I’m spoiled with Asian Sheet Masks that are typically cheap as chips so, telling me I have to pay $7 for a single sheet mask has me cringing in horror. But being the sheet mask junkie I am, it won’t stop me from buying at least one or two of these to try out. I feel sheet masks have evolved in the Western market considerably and we have so many more options available then we did a few year’s ago but I still think we have a ways to go before they become as huge as they are in Asia. It’s refreshing to see brands like Origins getting in on the trend though. Let’s take a look at the Flower Fusion Facial Sheet Masks. Origins offers their facial sheet masks in six different formulas all of which are available in a single use envelope. Each...[Read More]( [Bath & Body Works Gets In On The Bath Fizzy Business]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 10:14 AM Want to try a Bath & Body Works Bath Fizzy? There’s a slew of them available for Spring 2017 in some of Bath & Body Works’ most beloved fragrances like Beautiful Day, Thousand Wishes, and Warm Vanilla Sugar. This isn’t Bath & Body Works first venture into Bath Bombs as they released some really fab [Twisted Peppermint Bath Fizzies]( a few years ago! It’s always puzzled me that Bath & Body Works doesn’t really have a lot of bath stuff. They mostly focus on body and shower but I wouldn’t say there’s a lot of stuff you can take into your bathtub with you. Until now anyway…. The fizzy or bath bomb line is available in 15 different scents with three different designs that come in small and larger bomb sizes as well as larger square ones with prices from $6.95 to $7.50. There’s no way that these convince me to give up my beloved Lush Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars but I’m tempted to try one or two and...[Read More]( [The My Mascara Stopped Working Phenomenon]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 09:50 AM You ever purchase a great moisturizer and suddenly your life is transformed. Your skin is so much brighter, your friends are telling you look ten years younger, your complexion is smooth and soft, it’s a miracle. All this makes you want to invest your savings into stocks of your brand new, miraculous moisturizer. You want to go out and buy a case of it because you [simply can’t live your life without it.]( A month later, it stops working. Your skin isn’t as bright, your friends have stopped complimenting you, and that case of moisturizer in your closet is no longer a miracle but more like a ball and chain around your neck. So, this probably happened to you before right? But what about the my mascara stopped working phenomenon (sounds like a Big Bang Theory episode doesn’t it?) have you experienced that? I mean you probably know about...[Read More]( [Ulta Ships to Canada]( Isabella Muse, 20 Apr 09:25 AM Good news makeup fans! Ulta ships to Canada now! Thanks so much to my reader, kjh, for the news! If you visit the [Ulta.com]( site and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page you can switch to the Canadian site and all items will appear in Canadian dollars. I don’t know the exact cost of shipping but I’m assuming it’ll be reasonable since they now have a global portal for the Ulta site! Or at least I’m hoping it’s reasonable. The lack of Canadian shipping has been a sore spot for many Ulta fans. Sephora has a Canadian portal and in an attempt to be [a better version of Sephora, Ulta has improved on many aspects]( of their branding. I suspect a new website is in the works at some point as well and potentially a [Flash-like shipping service like Sephora]( has. Ulta has evolved...[Read More]( [Email](mailto:musings.of.a.muse@gmail.com) [Facebook]( [Google+]( [Instagram]( [Pinterest]( [Tumblr]( [Twitter]( [WordPress]( [1px] ©2017 Musings of a Muse | New York, New York [1px] [Web Version](  [Forward](  [Unsubscribe](   [Powered by Mad Mimi®A GoDaddy® company]() Â
