While [Animation Module](Module#paper) occasionally sees fringe Modern play in [Hardened Scales](Caverns+of+Ixalan+Commander/Hardened+Scales#paper), the real reason for the spike is Murders at Karlov Manor, specifically the new uncommon [Crime Novelist](Murders+at+Karlov+Manor:Foil/Crime+Novelist#paper) making it easy to go infinite with the card. If you have Module, [Crime Novelist](Murders+at+Karlov+Manor:Foil/Crime+Novelist#paper), and a sacrifice outlet, you can sacrifice an artifact, make a red mana with [Crime Novelist](Murders+at+Karlov+Manor:Foil/Crime+Novelist#paper) and use that mana to pay for [Animation Module](Module#paper) to make a 1/1 Servo artifact creature token which you can then sacrifice to start the loop again. If your sac outlet is [Phyrexian Altar](List/Phyrexian+Altar#paper) or [Ashnod's Altar (retro)](Brothers+War+Retro+Frame+Artifacts/Ashnods+Altar-retro#paper), you make infinite mana. If you have a [Blood Artist](Caverns+of+Ixalan+Commander/Blood+Artist#paper) effect on the battlefield, you'll just straight up win the game! Meanwhile in Standard, the price of mana is on the rise with several popular lands ranging from [Spara's Headquarters (showcase)](of+New+Capenna/Sparas+Headquarters-showcase#paper) (up 20% to $19), [Deathcap Glade](Crimson+Vow:Foil/Deathcap+Glade#paper) (up 14% to $21) and [Plaza of Heroes](United:Foil/Plaza+of+Heroes#paper) (up 14% to $10) ticking up this week. It wasn't that long ago that you could get the Innistrad lands and Triomes for under $10, but now you'll be paying closer to $20! Whether you should buy now or wait is an interesting question. Both the Triomes and Innistrad lands rotate in September, but both land cycles are also super heavily played in Commander, which means prices likely won't crash too hard at rotation. If you need them to play Standard, snag them now, otherwise I'd lean towards waiting for rotation. While you probably won't save a ton, you should save a little bit at least. Finally, [Muxus, Goblin Grandee](Goblin+Grandee#paper) is on the rise. A couple of weeks ago you could snag copies for around $5, today the cheapest version is $12 with the Jumpstart 2022 version closer to $20. Goblins have been on the upswing in Legacy recently thanks to the printing of [Broadside Bombardiers](Caverns+of+Ixalan+Commander/Broadside+Bombardiers#paper) in Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander, and it seems that Muxus is the primary beneficiary of the increase. Toss in the possibility that the six-drop could come to Modern at some point in a Modern Horizons set and its Commander play, and I wouldn't be surprise to see [Muxus, Goblin Grandee](Goblin+Grandee#paper) continue to slowly creep up until it's eventually reprinted. --------------------------------------------------------------- The Best Spell from Every Year of Magic: the Gathering --------------------------------------------------------------- From some of the strongest cards ever printed in the early years of the game to afterthoughts in the current ear of power creep today we explore the evolution of spells in Magic by looking at the best one from each year![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Podcast 467: Who is the Sweatiest Goldfish? --------------------------------------------------------------- The crew spends the entire cast answering your #MTGFishmail questions![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Commander Clash Podcast 130: Ways to Improve Your Commander Experience --------------------------------------------------------------- Things to try to have more fun, get better, or just generally improve your Commander games.[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Single Scoop: Get In, We're Trying to "Lose the Game." --------------------------------------------------------------- Our deck is loaded with ways to lose the game but hopefully we can work our way out of that with Gideon of the Trials and a Harmless Offering :)[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- This Week in Legacy: Sawing Things in Half! --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Dyer digs into some cool decks using Saw in Half in Legacy![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Against the Odds: Infinite Intruder Alarm (Timeless) --------------------------------------------------------------- Intruder Alarm is considered to be such a scary combo piece that it was pre-banned in Historic, but what are the odds of using it to make infinite creatures in Timeless? Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
