--------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive ----

[MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] [width="1"] --------------------------------------------------------------- We "Gift" Each Other Troll Decks! | Commander Clash S15 E29 --------------------------------------------------------------- The crew secretly "gift" each other troll decks to play![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Cursed Totem](Horizons+2/Cursed+Totem#paper) [Inti, Seneschal of the Sun](Caverns+of+Ixalan/Inti+Seneschal+of+the+Sun#paper) [Lullmage Mentor](Mentor#paper) This week in the world of Magic finance, the biggest winner was [Cursed Totem](Horizons+2/Cursed+Totem#paper). While the Mirage printing was already super expensive at nearly $40, the Modern Horizons 2 reprint gained 164% on the week to $3 thanks to its increasing impact as a sideboard card in Modern. With Yawgmoth Combo becoming one of the most played decks in the format in the wake of the most recent round of bannings, [Cursed Totem](Horizons+2/Cursed+Totem#paper) is suddenly one of the best cards against one of the best decks in the format, which is driving its rise. Meanwhile [Inti, Seneschal of the Sun (showcase)](Caverns+of+Ixalan/Inti+Seneschal+of+the+Sun-showcase#paper) is also on the rise with the Lost Caverns of Ixalan rare nearly doubling in price this week to $4.40. The two-drop's ability to work as a discard outlet, aggro threat, and card advantage engine has given it a home in every format from Standard back to Legacy, although its current rise is mostly tied to Pioneer where the two-drop synergizes with the newly unbanned [Smuggler's Copter](Neon+Dynasty+Commander/Smugglers+Copter#paper), giving it a home in Rakdos Midrange, the most played deck in the format. I wouldn't be in a hurry to unload my copies - Inti's cross-format potential means it still has a chance to grow as it finds its way into more decks. Finally, we're still seeing the impact of Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander on the market with Merfolk having another good week lead by [Lullmage Mentor](Mentor#paper) climbing 33% to $6 after being under $2 just a month ago. We should be nearing the end of the Lost Caverns of Ixalan hype cycle, but keep an eye out for the release of the Commander themes for Murders at Karlov Manor, because the process will start over again in a few weeks once spoiler season kicks off. --------------------------------------------------------------- Meme or Dream?
