--------------------------------------------------------------- Budget Magic: $100 Dino Whack ------

[MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] [width="1"] --------------------------------------------------------------- Announcement: Standard Rotation Extended to 3 Years --------------------------------------------------------------- Wilds of Eldraine rotation has been canceled![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Budget Magic: $100 Dino Whack (Modern) --------------------------------------------------------------- 2BDino%2BWhack-81d4560e-7a64-4e37-b3df-b116cb612ba7%2Ejpg What's better than a 20/20 trampling Ancient Imperiosaur on Turn 2 in Modern? A 20/20 trampling Ancient Imperiosaur on a $100 budget![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Cavalier of Gales](Set+2020/Cavalier+of+Gales#paper) [Metamorphose]( [Ozolith, the Shattered Spire](of+the+Machine/Ozolith+the+Shattered+Spire#paper) Last week we talked about [Cavalier of Night](List/Cavalier+of+Night#paper) spiking as an upgrade for [Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir](of+the+Machine+Commander/Sidar+Jabari+of+Zhalfir#paper) Commander decks and our conclusion was that considering three of the five Cavaliers in the Core Set 2020 cycle had seen big price jumps it probably wouldn't hurt to pick up the two that were still cheap - [Cavalier of Gales (planeswalker stamp)](Set+2020/Cavalier+of+Gales-planeswalker+stamp#paper) and [Cavalier of Flame](Set+2020/Cavalier+of+Flame#paper). Well, it happened a lot quicker than expected as [Cavalier of Gales (planeswalker stamp)](Set+2020/Cavalier+of+Gales-planeswalker+stamp#paper) was one of the biggest gainers this week, doubling in price from $3 to $6. This makes a lot of sense considering that [Cavalier of Gales (planeswalker stamp)](Set+2020/Cavalier+of+Gales-planeswalker+stamp#paper) is blue, making it another potential upgrade for the Esper Knight themed [Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir](of+the+Machine+Commander/Sidar+Jabari+of+Zhalfir#paper) deck. At this point, [Cavalier of Flame](Set+2020/Cavalier+of+Flame#paper) is the only member of the cycle that's still relatively cheap. Assuming it doesn't get reprinted, it seems possible that something will come along eventually to increase its price. Picking up a playset just in case probably isn't a bad idea. Meanwhile [Metamorphose]( is the latest card for the emerging [Dandan]( format to be bought out with the Scourge uncommon shooting up from around $1.50 to $4 this week and foils going for a massive $25. If you're not familiar with the format, there's a good [breakdown on TCGPlayer](, but basically, the idea is that Dandan is a format where both players play with the same 80-card deck. It's almost a Magic-themed board game in many ways. The increasing popularity of the format has led to a bunch of weird price movements lately with cards like [Diminishing Returns](Masters/Diminishing+Returns#paper), [Predict](2018/Predict#paper), and [Crystal Spray](Spray#paper) all getting the Dandan bump, not to mention [Dandan]( itself. If you are interested in the format, I'd recommend picking up the cards you need soon because as more players buy the janky, old, forgotten cards that makeup [Dandan](, the prices could continue to increase. Finally in the realm of March of the Machine, [Ozolith, the Shattered Spire](of+the+Machine/Ozolith+the+Shattered+Spire#paper) is creeping up, gaining 12% on the week to just under $5. The artifact has been widely adapted in Modern [Hardened Scales](Anthology+Volume+II/Hardened+Scales#paper), which is having some success on Magic Online, driving the demand for Ozolith and also its price. Add in some demand from +1/+1 counter-themed decks in Commander and [Ozolith, the Shattered Spire](of+the+Machine/Ozolith+the+Shattered+Spire#paper) has the look of a card that could continue to slowly creep up in price. --------------------------------------------------------------- March of the Machine: Aftermath Spoilers --------------------------------------------------------------- The full preview of March of the Machine: Aftermath![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Commander Masters Spoilers — May 5 --------------------------------------------------------------- Previews for Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, and Commander Masters![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Secret Lair Spoilers — May 6 | From Cute to Brute --------------------------------------------------------------- A new Secret Lair Commander deck![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- I Cast Both Libraries at Once | Brewer's Kitchen --------------------------------------------------------------- Brewer's Kitchen casts both libraries at once.[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- An Uncommon Budget: Top 100 Decks for the Historic Artisan Festival --------------------------------------------------------------- Rooker shares 100 decks to try in Historic that use no Rare or Mythic cards.[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Podcast 431: Why are These Cards Banned in Modern?
