--------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive ----

[MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] [width="1"] --------------------------------------------------------------- Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander Decklists --------------------------------------------------------------- Here are the decklists from Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander.[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Valki, God of Lies](God+of+Lies#paper) [Ugin's Nexus](of+Tarkir/Ugins+Nexus#paper) [Darksteel Reactor](Reactor#paper) This week the world of Magic finance is all about Outlaws of Thunder Junction. In Modern [Valki, God of Lies](God+of+Lies#paper) is on the rise, gaining 54% this week to just under $10. People are hyped about the possibility of cheating the backside of Valki - [Tibalt, Cosmic Impostor](Cosmic+Impostor#paper) - into play with new plot cards like [Jace Reawakened](of+Thunder+Junction/Jace+Reawakened#paper) and [Kellan Joins Up](of+Thunder+Junction/Kellan+Joins+Up#paper). Just how legit this plan will be remains to be seen, but getting a seven-mana planeswalker on turn three is a pretty big reward - big enough that people are going to try it. Meanwhile in Pioneer, [Ugin's Nexus](of+Tarkir/Ugins+Nexus#paper) is climbing (up 140% to $3.50) thanks to a new infinite turn combo with [Esoteric Duplicator](Big+Score/Esoteric+Duplicator#paper). With both artifacts on the battlefield, all you need is an artifact sacrifice outlet to take all of the turns by sacrificing [Ugin's Nexus](of+Tarkir/Ugins+Nexus#paper) to take a turn, and paying two mana to copy [Ugin's Nexus](of+Tarkir/Ugins+Nexus#paper) with [Esoteric Duplicator](Big+Score/Esoteric+Duplicator#paper) so you can repeat the process during the extra turn. I wouldn't be surprised to see [Ugin's Nexus](of+Tarkir/Ugins+Nexus#paper) continue to rise in coming days - [Esoteric Duplicator](Big+Score/Esoteric+Duplicator#paper) was one of the last spoilers from Outlaws of Thunder Junction and most of this price movement has come in the past day, which might mean this is the beginning of the price increase rather than the end point. Finally in Commander, infamous meme win condition [Darksteel Reactor](Reactor#paper) nearly doubled in price this week up to $20 thanks to [Obeka, Splitter of Seconds](of+Thunder+Junction/Obeka+Splitter+of+Seconds#paper). While there are probably easier ways to win if you can take a ton of upkeeps in a row, new Obeka is legitimately one of the best alt-win condition commanders since it allows you to win with cards like [Darksteel Reactor](Reactor#paper) right away rather than having to wait for your upkeep. Early [EDHRec results]( suggests that [Obeka, Splitter of Seconds](of+Thunder+Junction/Obeka+Splitter+of+Seconds#paper) is - by far - the most popular new Outlaws of Thunder Junction legend, so expect more price spikes from random "upkeep matters" cards over the new few weeks. --------------------------------------------------------------- 25 Commander Decks Under $25! --------------------------------------------------------------- Tomer shows some powerhouse $25 commander decks that punch way above their price tags![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Podcast 478: Is Outlaws a Power Creep Set? --------------------------------------------------------------- The crew delves into the new mechanics, cards and power level of Outlaws of Thunder Junction![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Commander Clash Podcast 141: Cards That Have Gotten Better Over Time --------------------------------------------------------------- These cards have always been good, but they've gotten even better over time![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Single Scoop: 5C Super Meme Friends --------------------------------------------------------------- This 69 card pile of super meme friends is an awful deck .... and that's why we love it and we're taking it to the ladder![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- This Week in Legacy: Yee-Haw! --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Dyer dives into Outlaws of Thunder Junction for Legacy![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Against the Odds: Lantern Control but in Standard? --------------------------------------------------------------- What are the odds of winning by making it so we can never lose, by exiling every meaningful card from our opponent's deck?
