Hi {NAME} I'm trying something new for a few weeks. Calling it Friday Flywheel, because you need to get your MSP's marketing wheel turning and then make it go faster and faster and faster... right? Not convinced about the name... anyway, the idea is that I send you some short form musings plus cool things I've seen that can help you generate leads and win new clients. I'm not 100% sold on the format either yet so will experiment in the weeks ahead. If you want to opt out (but still get my podcast emails) there's a new email preferences link at the bottom of the email. Paul's musings: Password managers are the perfect upsell My daughter is 13 and admitted to me the other day she has a single password (umm... not far off 'passw0rd123'...) which she uses for ALL logins. I. Was. Utterly. Horrified. Don't judge me by the actions of my child. Of course I insisted she get set up with 1Password. This inspired some new weekly marketing content about password managers we delivered to the members of the MSP Marketing Edge (a video, blog, social media, email and LinkedIn Newsletter). It made me think - a password manager is the perfect upsell. You should be supplying it to every single user at every single one of your clients (even any break/fix ones you still have). Why? It has so many wins - a bit of margin for you, increased security for them, and most importantly it makes their lives easy. That's the real benefit and win of a password manager. They are more secure while doing less cognitive work. Don't underestimate the massive positive emotional impact of their business embracing it. What's stopping you from selling more password managers? Hit reply and let me know. From the web: Screenshot marketing is the ultimate curiosity hook When people think they're seeing something private, they pay a lot more attention. [Peeking into the messages of others is a powerful marketing tool]( From my archive: Listen to this book and make your children happy The pain of transitioning your kids from a single password to 1Password can be softened by spending more time with them and less time pressing buttons on a keyboard. This very cool book helps you to emotionally justify [swapping cash for a better life]( Give Ben 15 mins and he'll tell you why you're not generating leads I have a trusted lieutenant called Ben Smith. His job is to help MSPs figure out why they're not generating qualified leads, and show them how our MSP Marketing Edge helps. Would you like 15 mins with him? No obligation to buy anything, ever. It's a friendly tour not a sales pitch. [Here's his live calendar]( Hit reply with any questions - and have a great weekend. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
