Five GOP presidential hopefuls [took the stage in Miami]( on Wednesday night for an action-packed evening of [contentious personal attacks]( and [thinly veiled swipes]( at the juggernaut that is Donald Trump. On the heels of a [lackluster election outcome]( the day prior, the prevailing diagnosis for the current state of Republican politics seemed [aptly summed up]( by Vivek Ramasway’s own words: [“a party of losers.”]( [Among the key victories]( for Democrats in Tuesday’s elections Ohio passed a [citizen-sponsored ballot measure]( to amend the state constitution to protect abortion rights. They also scored major wins [in Kentucky](, with the re-election of a [Democratic governor]( (much to [Trump’s displeasure](), and in Virginia, where [Democrats won most key battleground districts]( and [retook the State House](, creating a welcome [sense of optimism]( heading into 2024.
