This is the former president's [second federal indictment]( and [his third criminal indictment overall;]( however, many believe this indictment is the [most significant and consequential.](On Thursday, Trump was arraigned in a federal courthouse in Washington by a magistrate judge shortly after 4:20 p.m. ET. The proceeding lasted about 30 minutes.
