According to the [search warrant]( the FBI used to raid Cohen’s home and office, the FBI was investigating the president's former lawyer and fixer much earlier than previously known to the public, and Mueller's investigators began looking into the Trump organization's ties to Russia just months after President Trump was sworn in. As we await Special Counsel Mueller's next move, NBC News reports Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, who first appointed Mueller and has been on his way out, [now intends to stay on at the Justice Department a little longer](. The department refused comment when asked if that meant Mueller is not yet ready to deliver his report.
