In an interview with Fox News earlier today, the president said that he never directed Cohen to do anything wrong. He argued that any payments were unrelated to his presidential campaign and thus not a violation of federal law. Despite his public declaration that he isn't concerned about impeachment, the president [has told people close to him in recent days that he is alarmed by the prospect,]( according to multiple sources.
