The FBI said it is investigating [the apparent attempted assassination of Trump]( at his Florida golf course Sunday afternoon. Trump was quickly transported to safety and later thanked Secret Service agents for their quick work on what he called “an interesting day.” According to authorities, Trump was golfing with a friend around 2 p.m. in West Palm Beach when [Secret Service agents noticed a rifle]( sticking out of some shrubbery on the edge of the course, several hundred yards away from the former president. Agents engaged with and fired at the suspect, who was later arrested on a Florida interstate by local authorities.
