He held Trump in criminal contempt for nine violations of a narrowly tailored gag order designed to ensure the integrity of this, the former president’s first criminal trial. That gag order prohibits Trump from “making or directing others to make public statements about known or reasonably foreseeable witnesses concerning their potential participation in the investigation or in this criminal proceeding,” as well as “public statements about any prospective juror or any juror.” This is a preview of Anthony Coley's latest article.
