Nabiha is a media executive, a lawyer and a champion of public interest technology. She has an exceptional understanding of how technology, humanity and broader society intersect – and how to engage with the complicated challenges and opportunities at that intersection. Before joining the Mozilla Foundation, Nabiha was CEO of The Markup – an award-winning publication that challenges technology to serve the public good. Under her leadership, The Markup drove U.S. Congressional debates, inspired watershed litigation, and won multiple prestigious awards. Prior to this, Nabiha was a highly acclaimed media lawyer. Nabiha will make Mozilla a stronger, bigger, and more impactful organisation, at a time when the internet needs it most. We are at a critical juncture, as technology companies, civil society and government race to keep up with the rapid pace of AI innovation. Under Nabiha’s ambitious leadership, she will carry forward the collective power of the Mozilla community to help steer society away from the real risks and towards the benefits of trustworthy AI.
