Demand action to remove George Santos from office. [Add your name: George Santos has got to go! Sign the petition now to demand action to remove George Santos from office.]( Dear MoveOn member, There is only one reason George Santos is still in Congress today after a resolution to expel him was brought to the floor this week: Every single House Republican voted to keep Santos from being expelled.1 On Wednesday, Republicans in the House of Representatives voted unanimously to protect Santos, the serial liar and fraudster who now faces 13-count federal indictment related to how he deceived the people of New York's 3rd Congressional District.2 Democrats sought to hold him accountable and expel him—but Republicans voted to protect Santos and keep control of their House majority.3 However, the fact that Republicans instead voted to refer Santos's case to the House Ethics Committee as a way to save face shows they are feeling pressure—all the more reason to double down now, to demand action and accountability. [Will you add your name along with more than 100,000 fellow MoveOn members in declaring it's time for Santos to go and for the residents of NY-03 to get the representation they deserve?]( George Santos’s recent indictment and nonstop lies prove that he’s unfit for office. He must be removed or resign immediately. [Sign the petition]( Santos built his campaign on a web of outrageous and offensive lies, deceiving the voters of New York's 3rd District about his qualifications, work background, and who he really is. We’ve seen him be investigated and now indicted on a number of federal charges, just days after admitting to crimes in Brazil as part of a deal with prosecutors.4,5 But Kevin McCarthy and his shameless MAGA Republicans seem content to keep Santos around as long as possible to retain one more Republican seat in their razor-thin majority. Their shameless vote against expulsion this week shows that there really is no limit to what they'll accept if it means they hold on to power. Even if the GOP is doing everything in their power to hold onto Santos, the fight isn’t over. We have to continue raising pressure and demanding our voices be heard. We deserve leaders who will protect our communities, not protect MAGA frauds in order to preserve power. And NY-03 deserves a real representative who didn't lie their way into office.
