The FBI never fully investigated allegations against Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing

The FBI never fully investigated allegations against Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing. Congress should immediately investigate Kavanaugh. [New sworn testimony reveals that the FBI never fully investigated sexual assault evidence against Brett Kavanaugh. Congress must right this wrong—and impeach Kavanaugh in order to thoroughly investigate his lies and the cases of sexual assault and hold him accountable!]( Dear MoveOn member, On Thursday, under oath before the Senate, FBI Director Christopher Wray admitted that the Trump White House controlled the tip line during Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation, determining which leads the FBI would follow in investigating multiple allegations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh.1  This confirms what many critics already claimed: A politicized process, directed by Trump, curtailed a real investigation, denying due process to the brave women who raised accusations and giving us Justice Kavanaugh, who has cemented an extreme right-wing bloc on this illegitimate, packed court that overturned Roe v. Wade.  With these new revelations, it's beyond time for Congress to uncover the truth through a thorough impeachment investigation. [Please tell Congress to investigate and impeach Brett Kavanaugh and hold him accountable.]( Credible accusations of sexual assault against Brett Kavanaugh were never thoroughly investigated before his confirmation to the Supreme Court. He never should have been confirmed. And with his vote to overturn Roe, it is clear he lied under oath during his hearings. Congress must impeach Kavanaugh, thoroughly investigate his lies and the cases of sexual assault, and hold him accountable.  [Sign the petition]( When Donald Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, multiple women came forward bravely to share their experiences of Kavanaugh's sexual assault, aggression, and maliciousness. Last July, we learned the FBI never fully investigated these credible accusations—because they were following the Trump administration's politicized directions.2 This has now been confirmed by FBI Director Christopher Wray in infuriating detail in a Senate hearing.  Clearly, this investigation was incomplete, inexcusable, and designed to dismiss the multiple cases of sexual assault brought forward. Republicans rushed through Kavanagh's confirmation without a thorough investigation.  Nobody should be in a lifetime seat on the nation's highest court under such circumstances. [The Senate must impeach Kavanaugh immediately.](  Furthermore, during his hearings, he attested to his respect for settled law—including the precedent of Roe v. Wade. As his recent decision to overturn Roe and strip abortion protections from hundreds of millions has demonstrated, he has no respect for our health, our autonomy, or for the truth.3 He and the other justices must be investigated and, if it is found they lied under oath, they must face consequences.  Kavanaugh's rushed confirmation, the White House interference in the investigation of sexual assault, and the failure of the FBI to thoroughly pursue the evidence wherever it may lead all contributed to Kavanaugh joining a right-wing bloc on a court that has been packed by Republican power grabs. This court is illegitimate—and it is showing itself wildly out of step with the American public. We must work to rebalance the court by expanding it, reforming it, and holding accountable those who sit on it.  [Congress must impeach, investigate, and hold Kavanaugh accountable.]( Thanks for all you do. –Justin, Jensine, Maralyn, Erica, and the rest of the team 1.
