F1 gears up for crucial Las Vegas GP weekend

Liberty has staked a huge amount of investment in this race, as is promoting the event itself in conjunction with the city and its huge casinos and hotels. While the track’s setting is undoubtedly spectacular – running along the famous Strip – the decision to make it a night race during the desert winter could backfire, which certainly adds to the risk. Teams have pushed the boat out with special liveries and you can expect a multitude of celebrities to attend – even rock legends U2 have been forced out of their residency of the new Sphere to make way for this show. Now we just need a good race, to make all this effort worthwhile… F1 is desperate to truly crack America – is this the final step?
