Ferrari’s performance in the Belgian Grand Prix was embarrassing. Despite its huge resour

[Forward to a friend](   Ferrari’s performance in the Belgian Grand Prix was embarrassing. Despite its huge resources and talent, it only managed to beat two Haases and the slowest Williams. And yet team boss Mattia Binotto denies this is a crisis… It was some turnaround to last year’s race at Spa, which Charles Leclerc won from pole position. His Q3 time would have put him eighth on this year’s grid. Twelve months on, he could only manage 13th and barely broke into the 1m42s, when Lewis Hamilton was 1.744s faster. Ferrari made its own bed when its interpretation of the engine rules “did not fully satisfy” the FIA. The unintended consequence was that Mercedes bust a gut in developing its power unit even harder. The outcome is plain for all to see.    Charles Bradley, Global Editor in Chief   Motorsport.com E D I T O R ' S C H O I C E [Binotto: Ferrari in the middle of a storm, but no crisis](  Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto admits his team is in "the middle of a storm" right now with its Formula 1’s struggles, but denies it is in crisis.      L U K E  S M I T H [Ferrari "disappointed and angry" about Belgian GP showing]( Ferrari was left "disappointed and angry" by its display in Sunday's Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix after failing to score any points, according to team principal Mattia Binotto.    A D A M  C O O P E R [Steiner felt "no satisfaction" fighting Ferrari at Spa]( Haas Formula 1 team boss Guenther Steiner says he gets "no satisfaction" from fighting the Ferrari team for minor placings in the Belgian Grand Prix.    L U K E  S M I T H [Hamilton: Only F1 bosses can do something to stop boring races]( Lewis Hamilton believes pressure needs to be placed on Formula 1 bosses so that changes are made to avoid boring races such as the Belgian Grand Prix.    J O N A T H A N  N O B L E [Ricciardo: Abiteboul should be "nervous" over tattoo bet]( Daniel Ricciardo says his Renault Formula 1 boss Cyril Abiteboul should now be "pretty nervous" about losing a bet they have on getting tattoos.    Download the new Motorsport app today!
