The MoJo Daily newsletter, Monday through Friday. [View in browser]( [Support our nonprofit journalism]( [Mother Jones Daily Newsletter](     March 6, 2024 Up until last fall, I had never really consumed much reality television. This mild rejection had little to do with elitism and more intimidation; the genre always seemed too large and foreign for me to pick up. Now don't ask me how it happened, but in a few short months, I have made something of a religion out of devouring the original The Real Housewives of New York City. (Please reach out to me directly if you are a fan and want to talk about anything. Tom's cheating. Bethenny's return. Sonja's farting. Anything.) And a few days ago, I watched the episode featuring [Carole Radziwill's 2016 election party](. "The election is three days away," Radziwill, a diehard Democrat, says. Though she seems confident that Hillary will win, Radziwill is also anxious. We viewers, of course, know that her anxiety was justified. Nearly eight years later, as the [last-remaining challenge to Trump's second presidential nomination quits](, the episode makes for a surreal watch. Not simply because it forces you to recall all the cruelty and unhinged events that happened since Radziwill's ill-fated party. Watching the episode in 2024 is a small reminder that, like Radziwill, many of us once thought that the unthinkable could never happen. How naive and downright foolish does that seem now? So, I urge anyone who doesn't believe that a [Florida man facing 91 criminal counts]( can claw his way back to the White House to watch. —Inae Oh Advertisement [House Bookshop Ad]( [Top Story] [Top Story]( [Nikki Haley Suspends Campaign, Withholds Endorsing Florida Man Facing 91 Felony Counts]( But she appeared to offer Donald Trump the chance to secure her support soon enough.
