The MoJo Daily newsletter, Monday through Friday. [View in browser]( [Mother Jones Daily Newsletter](     January 10, 2024 The Biden campaign came out swinging today after a senior European official recalled that Donald Trump, as president, privately vowed to "never" help Europe if it was attacked. "The idea that he would abandon our allies if he doesn’t get his way underscores what we already know to be true about Donald Trump: The only person he cares about is himself," Ammar Moussa, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign, [told Politico](. As someone who is hoping to see Biden amp up the attacks against Trump, I welcomed the response. It seemed to demonstrate the kind of vigor many of you wished Biden would display as he flails in the polls. Speaking of which, thank you so much for all the terrific responses to my question the other day asking what you'd like to hear from Biden on the campaign trail. You guys had some great feedback, which included advice for Biden to emphasize his work in turning around the economy, vociferously hammer Trump for being the plague that he is, and not to mince words. Many of you also wanted to see Biden disavow "carte blanche aid" to Israel; others want Biden to make more solid efforts to energize young and disaffected voters. I really appreciated this one: "Can you get Taylor Swift & Travis Kelsey (sic) to endorse you, Joe?" I chuckled at first. But after a few more beats, I realized the idea was genius. So, how can we make this happen? —Inae Oh Advertisement [Money in the Twenty-First Century]( [Top Story] [Top Story]( [Last Year Was the Hottest One in Recorded History]( In 2024, scientists predict, we will exceed the warming threshold set by the Paris climate accords.
