Friend, Did you know 85% of the 400 wealthiest Americans on the Forbes 400 list are white men, diving head first into piles of wealth like Scrooge McDuck? But this isn’t a cartoon, and hoarding wealth is not a joke. Our current tax code exacerbates racial and gender inequality, hinders economic growth, and sharply limits the tax revenues available to make investments in women and people of color. Enough is enough. It’s about time we make the uber wealthy pay their fair share of taxes. Can you imagine the world we could ALL have if billionaires are taxed more fairly? Imagine affordable child care, paid family and medical leave, better access to aging and disability care, higher pay for care workers, and more. [Sign on if you agree: Update Our Tax Code]( Here’s what that means: - Decoding the tax code. Everyone should understand that tax policies and loopholes are helping the richer get richer. - Framing tax justice as a gender and racial justice issue - because it IS! Ballooning wealth and income inequality hurts women and people of color the most. Centering women of color will make the tax code work better for ALL of us. - Advocating for a more equitable tax system. It’s time the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share. Investing revenues from taxing the wealthy will help women and families succeed. We need an economy that works for all of us, not just the privileged few.  [Join us by signing this petition telling billionaires: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH]( Billionaires shouldn’t be able to game the system and grow their piles of wealth at the expense of the rest of us. We need the tax code to work for everyone, not just the wealthy few.
