The MoJo Daily newsletter, Monday through Friday. [View in browser]( [Mother Jones Daily Newsletter]( March 28, 2023 I admit it: I am done with Donald Trump. I know that he could run for president againâand win. Still, it's hard for me to believe that even die-hard MAGA fans could take four more years of wild headlines about DJT. Let's face it, despite all the crazinessâand there's a lot of crazyâin the end, he's just not that interesting! I was skeptical when Trump claimed that he was going to be indicted last week in the Stormy Daniels hush money case. Surely, I thought, the attention-starved ex-president was spinning lies to attract headlines. It wouldn't be the first time. Still, I felt vindicated when [last Tuesday]( came and went (and then Wednesday, and then Thursday, Friday and the whole weekend) without Trump being led away in handcuffs, as he [reportedly wanted](. Now, sources (we journalists who cover Trump love anonymous sources!) are saying that the indictment [isn't expected to happen this week](, either. Stay tuned for how he will ratchet up the drama. In other Trump legal news, former veep Mike Pence has been ordered to [testify before the grand jury]( investigating his boss's efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. When it happens, Pence's testimony could provide an eye-opening look at Trump's conversations and actions in the days leading up to Jan. 6, 2021. But for some reason, I'm just not holding my breath. âAbigail Weinberg Advertisement [WW Norton]( [Top Story] [Top Story]( [“I Am the School-to-Prison Pipeline”: How Terrance Roberts Plans to Fight Violence in Denver]( An unlikely mayoral candidate wants to audit law enforcement and change the way the city talks about crime.
