Your daily source for trading strategies, tech news, and politically incorrect humor Oct 4, 2019 [View in Browser]( [Image] Your daily source for trading strategies, tech news, and politically incorrect humor. Dear eMBers, Your Morning Bullets are here. Let’s dig in. INVESTOR INSIGHTS – Market Update All isn’t lost… October got off to a rocky start. Then, yesterday, markets came in with an unexpected win. The ISM report showed that the nation’s services sector performed worse than expected in September. And far down from August’s 56.4. They were the worst numbers in three years. A strong hint that domestic growth is in fact slowing. While investors resigned themselves to a third straight loss, the markets did the unexpected. Both the NASDAQ and DJIA were trading down. Then they ended the day with net gains. In fact, the reversal equaled the best turnarounds seen in months. For the NASDAQ Composite Index, it was the best performance since April 2018. What’s fueling the optimism with so many weak indicators? Some think investors are pinning their hopes on continued Fed easing. In just a week, Wall Street expectations for a 25 basis-point cut jumped from 49% to 90.3%. Thursday’s bond yield drops support this theory. So, what’s next? That all depends on today’s jobs report. It’s the make-or-break moment investors are waiting for. [Read more here]( YOUR SILICON VALLEY (LIBERAL) OVERLORDS It’s no secret that Samsung is a big friend to Big Advertising. For the second year they sponsored the Advertising Week expo. 100,000+ visitors saw tons Samsung signage. Plus, a first look at Samsung Ads -serving up targeted ads. Whether you want them or not. It turns smartphones into annoying billboards for advertisers everywhere. If the new feature does roll out, it could be a privacy minefield. “Our purpose is to drive unparalleled results for our customers. We leverage a proprietary data set no one else has, to deliver insights to marketers no one else can offer.” Which "customer" Samsung? Subscribers or marketers? He cites three reasons the Committee Chairman has lost all credibility. The big takeaway? “…that the impeachment inquiry will be unfair, without due process, and presided over by an individual who is so biased that he has made impeachment his No. 1 goal since the day after Trump was elected president in 2016.” In the article explaining his actions, it’s clear that at least someone is immune to TDS. [Read more here]( TRUMP IS WINNING Kamala Harris went to Reno, NV looking for “real talk.” And that’s what she got. In a rambling question, she asked town hall members if America was ready for her campaign. She expected clapping and support. In answer, the crowd shouted, “No!” Her shock was evident. Trying to recover, she continued, “Well, yes they are.” The crowd’s response? Laughter. Social media has had a field day with the exchange. Her disconnect with voters has resulted in a dramatic drop in her polls. [Read more here]( CRAZY-INTERESTING OR RIDICULOUSLY-WEIRD There are more and more UFO headlines. Including some recent videos that should never have been leaked. Yesterday, North Carolina was the site of the most recent footage. Check out the strange swarm yourself.
