[View this email in your browser]( Happy National Aunt and Uncle’s Day! (July 26) I love being a mom, but there's something special about being an Aunt - or an Uncle! And for me, a big part of being an Aunt is crocheting a new baby blanket for each new arrival in the family. Now that there's another one on the way for October, I need to come up with a new design! In the meantime, here are 5 free crochet patterns perfect for baby gifts! 1.[A blanket full of 3D love!]( and a reader request! 2. [One of my most popular baby blankets ever!]( 3.[And matching booties - so tiny!]( 4.[A little hoodie that's great for fall!]( 5.[A unisex sweater perfect for beginners]( One of the best things about crocheting for babies is that the projects are just physically smaller - perfect for hot summer days! And boy has it been a scorcher lately - staying inside in the AC crocheting and knitting seems like a wise choice to me. I hope you're all staying cool out there, and enjoying your summer! Be sure to check out all the links below for more summer fun! Have a fantastic week ahead - and happy crafting, all! Love, Tamara Tip of the Week This week's tip is courtesy of DearestDebi designer and blogger at [DearestDebi]( I remember the first time I tried to add braided ties. They were a complete hack job, but I still got a lot of compliments on that hat. I've put together a few different ways to add braided ties to your hats and bonnets. Check them out here.
