[View this email in your browser]( Happy National Onion Ring Day! Now that's a silly holiday I'd like to celebrate! I'll admit that deep fried veggies are my weakness. Well, one of a few, heh. One of the others is yarn - and I bet you share it! And hooks, and stitch markers, and cute project bags... So this week I'm sharing 5 free crochet patterns made with 5 of my favorite newer Red Heart Yarns! ♥ 1. [It's A Wrap Sprinkles]( - or Rainbow! 2. [Amore]( - or any "4" you love! 3. [Chic Sheep by Marly Bird]( don't worry, this one is still good for summer crocheting! 4. [Soft Essentials]( - find this yarn at your local Michaels! 5. [Croquette]( - so light and pretty! Have a great week all! I'm at The National Needlearts Association trade show this weekend, looking for fab new finds to share! I hope to have some cool stuff to tell you about on my next Moogly live on Facebook and YouTube - on June 28th! Love, Tamara Tip of the Week This week's tip is courtesy of Heidi Yates designer and blogger at [Snappy Tots]( Have you ever made a hat that turned out just right or had someone request another pair of slippers just like the ones you made them the year before? Sometimes remembering the yarn, size and pattern can be tricky. I wish I had kept a record of each project I have made since I started crocheting and knitting. Now I have a notebook (I'm a paper girl, but a spreadsheet would be even better) with notes on each item I make. It includes details such as the recipient, pattern, yarns, any adjustments and notes I might need to replicate the item. Yvonne Jones made the [Blackberry Salad Striped Blanket]( She says: "I made a version of your blackberry salad blanket for my new grandson. Being a little lazy and hating finishing off the ends I used a self-striping yarn in a DK/Aran weight....being in the UK I often have to be a bit inventive with the yarns I use as many of your suggestions, and yarn weights are not easily available. I also added a triangle type border to finish it off, can’t remember exactly what I did but I made something up to suit the pattern and stitch count!" --------------------------------------------------------------- It's so pretty!
