Real life isn't always super organized [image](=) Hi, friend! I'm sitting here typing this at the kitchen counter while four little people are running around (our younger three who are 3, 2, and 1 right now + our bonus boy who is 3 who we fostered in 2020 and now babysit for his mama while she works), singing, dancing, needing help, asking for snacks, laughing, and needing reminders to be kind. :) And I couldn't love it more. The days are sometimes chaotic. The house is often messy. Our home is often loud. But it's all a gift! It reminds me of what [Ruth Schwenk said recently on a time-saving strategies IG live we did]( together. She talked about how she didn't want to get so caught up in tracking and prioritizing and organizing the minutes of her life that she misses out on the moments. [I just typed that last paragraph and David's feeding tube machine went off because it had an error. I went to investigate and it had disconnected and spilled out on his clothes, seat, and the floor. So, I just spent 15 minutes changing his clothes, cleaning everything up, and re-setting up the machine. This is very common as part of my life right now... and I had to laugh that it happened right after I wrote that paragraph!] Being intentional with our time isn't necessarily about using every minute as strategically as we possibly can, but about capturing and savoring the moments and living this one life we've been given to its fullest. That might look like being super organized and scheduled. Or, it might look more like flinging your door open and welcoming your neighbor in in the middle of the day when your kitchen is a mess (that literally happened here just two hours ago!) Productivity can be a great thing, but when it become the enemy of being present, it's no longer a good thing. I shared a little more [how this looks in our life right now on Instagram here](=).
