My dad couldn't retire even though he'd done EVERYTHING right ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ â?

My dad couldn't retire even though he'd done EVERYTHING right ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Debt Free + Maxing Your 401k = Freedom.... right? 20 years ago, I drank this kool-aid as a financial advisor... until I learned THE TRUTH. My eyes began to open when I sat down with my dad, the cheapest man I knew. He bought EVERYTHING on sale. He paid off his debt and house early. And he had saved in his 401k religiously. He very well could have been the guy that TAUGHT Dave Ramsey everything he knew 😉 But as I sat at my dad's kitchen table, I had to break the hard truth.... "Dad, if you want to retire today at age 61, you better hope you DIE in 5 years. That's how long your retirement savings will last, despite being debt free." "What else can I do?" "I don't know. You did everything RIGHT." THIS MOMENT really upset me! 😡 He was supposed to be the poster child for retirement and he wasn't even close to freedom. He became ANOTHER statistic of a saver who "didn't save enough." Even worse, EVERY client AND FINANCIAL ADVISOR, INCLUDING ME, was on this same path. No wonder there are financial advisors working into their 70's! They can't retire either! At that moment, I could see my dismal future of sacrificing, saving, procrastinating my life to "someday" producing little fruit. WHY SHOULD I, AND MY CLIENTS, SUFFER FOR DECADES ONLY TO FIND OUT IT "WASN'T ENOUGH?!" I had a choice to make.... Do I stay and put blinders on my eyes because my career and family is at stake? Or should I leave and keep my integrity in tact? As you may have guessed, I chose the latter. And what a great choice it was! It opened me up to A BETTER OPTION where it helped ME create enough passive income to retire when I was only 28 years old! TIP FOR YOU: YOU DON'T have to put off living your life to "someday" because you have to build a multimillion dollar nest egg to barely live a middle class life! You can get your money working HARDER and with LESS risk by investing in REAL assets that pay PREDICTABLE PASSIVE INCOME! THAT is how I have created a much richer, and liberating life. - A life on MY terms - A life free from worry about paying my bills - A life where I am "work optional" - A life where I can wake up at the crash of Noon, if I choose - A life where I can decide what to do with my time and money, doing what I love with those I love spending time with. - A life where I can use my gifts to help others do the same. And YOU can choose that same freedom! You just have to avoid following that same beaten path paved by financial advisors and MILLIONS of aging Boomers, like my father, where they thought being debt free and a fluctuating 401k was the answer. IT HASN'T WORKED YET, AND IT WON'T WORK IN THE FUTURE. Choose the BETTER, PROVEN path of freedom! Reply "freedom" if you're ready to start investing differently!
